Regional Workshop on Disaster Management

In the period from 21 to 23 November 2018 in the Red Cross Training Center Solferino in Struga, Republic of Macedonia, a regional disaster management workshop was held and it was attended by 22 representatives from the Macedonian Red Cross , the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies , International Committee of the Red Cross, Bulgarian Red Cross, Albanian Red Cross, Red Cross of Serbia, Red Cross of  Montenegro, Red David’s Star of Israel and Center for Crisis Management of the Republic of Macedonia

The main goal of the workshop was the response of the NS of Red Cross in case  of floods occurring simultaneously in several countries, exchange of experiences and deepening the cooperation among representatives of the National Societies, as well as upgrading  knowledge through training for using NICS (Next-Generation Incident Command System.

The workshop sessions were realized in an interactive way through the exchange of experiences and group work. The topics / sessions elaborated during the workshop include: NICS (Next-Generation Incident Command System), Floods in Preparation of Documents for International Assistance (DREF and APEL), Presentation by a representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
