Workshop with journalists

The Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia on 22 October 2018 with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross organized a workshop with representatives of the media in order to promote cooperation with the media and to share information related to information and communication in crisis situations.

At the workshop, various aspects related to the functioning of the International Red Cross Movement and the mandate of the components of the Movement were presented, especially with the activities for timely and correct information and communication in crisis situations, the system for providing humanitarian assistance and providing services to persons at risk in emergency situations and the available mechanisms and instruments for providing assistance and supportThe Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, as the largest humanitarian organization in the country, presented experiences from the past period related to dealing with crisis situations in the Republic of Macedonia as a result of natural disasters and population movements At the workshop, Mr. Saso Taleski, Head of the Sector for Programs of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia and the Deputy Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross-Belgrade, Mrs. Gordana Milenkovic, presented the presentation. The workshop was accompanied by an open discussion where participants discussed various issues related to the work of the Red Cross and information in crisis situations.
