With great sorrow, we heard the disturbing news today of the horrific tragedy that occurred in Kochani, claiming many young lives. We express our deepest condolences, support, and solidarity to the families of the victims of the tragedy in Kochani. To the injured, we wish them a speedy recovery, strength, and courage to overcome these difficult moments.

In these times of grief, it is essential for all of us to remain united and continue to provide the necessary support to the families affected by this tragic event. The Red Cross, within its competencies and available capacities, is standing by the families of the victims and providing various types of support in Kochani and other cities where injured individuals have been placed in hospitals.

Expressing our deepest sympathy for the pain to the families of the deceased and injured, we would like to inform you that the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia has made a decision to postpone the ceremonial academy marking the 80th anniversary of the Red Cross of RNM, which was scheduled to take place on March 18, 2025, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, to an indefinite period.

We remain united and in solidary in these times of pain and we continue providing the necessary support for the citizens of our country.
