Disbursement of Humanitarian Assistance – Financial support for the affected by the fire in Kochani

On 27 February 2026, the Red Cross of RNM carried out the final disbursement of the collected funds for those affected by the fire in Kochani. A total of 11,200,000.00 denars were distributed to 18 individuals, divided into two categories.

The disbursement was made based on a submitted list of injured persons, prepared following the second evaluation of their medical condition and the prognosis for their further treatment, conducted by the Commission of the Ministry of Health.

The total amount of funds transferred so far stands at 164,744,901.00 denars.

In order to ensure greater transparency and accountability, the Red Cross prepared a Report on the factual situation regarding the inflows and outflows of the Solidarity Fund account for the period from 16 March 2025 to 22 August 2025, related to support for those affected by the fire that occurred in Kochani on 16 March 2025. Preparation of a final report on the raised and disbursed funds from the Solidarity Fund is currently underway. This report will cover the remaining period and will be shared with the public and all interested stakeholders by 15 March this year.

The Red Cross once again expresses its gratitude to all donors who contributed to mobilizing humanitarian support for the affected individuals and their families.

The Red Cross continues its field activities, with a focus on providing psychological support to the population affected by the fire in Kochani through the Regional Center for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
