The Head Office of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia announces a job vacancy for the position of:

Assistant to the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia

Required Qualifications:

Education: Completed higher education in the field of social sciences (law, political studies, social studies, public administration, business administration)
Work experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position in the area of administrative-office work (office management)
Language: Fluent in spoken and written English
Digital skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet, email applications, and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom

Job Responsibilities:

Preparing the daily work agenda for the Secretary General and the President
Managing communication with external parties on behalf of the Secretary General and the President
Coordinating communication with governmental and non-governmental organizations, local authorities, and public institutions in the country and abroad
Scheduling meetings and appointments as instructed by the Secretary General
Attending meetings and appointments on behalf of the Secretary General and taking notes
Preparing information, reports, and minutes from meetings and appointments held by the Secretary General in and out of the office
Drafting letters and correspondence related to the scope of work
Providing translations during meetings with representatives of international organizations and institutions, as needed
Regularly and promptly sending information about planned events involving the Secretary General to the Public Relations Officer
Organizing official travel for the Secretary General
Accompanying the Secretary General on business trips in and outside the country
Collaborating with department heads and passing requests and information to the Secretary General
Coordinating the Secretary General’s cooperation with branch secretaries and the Secretary of the City Red Cross of Skopje
Advising and informing the Secretary General about specific activities
Performing other duties as assigned by the Secretary General
