Disaster coordinators meeting held within the “Neighbors Help First” Network
On 4–5 June 2026, a meeting of Disaster Preparedness and Response Coordinators from 10 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies was held in Skopje within the “Neighbors Help First” network, with the participation of representatives from the IFRC and the ICRC.
During the two-day meeting, participants exchanged experiences, good practices, and lessons learned related to disaster management, community preparedness, and strengthening response capacities in crisis situations.
Special emphasis was placed on regional and cross-border cooperation, coordination among National Societies, the development of joint initiatives, and the enhancement of mechanisms for mutual support in the event of disasters and crises.
The meeting provided an important opportunity to strengthen partnerships and solidarity within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, with a shared goal of achieving more effective preparedness and a stronger response in the interest of the communities we serve.
