Improving the socialization of children and youth with disabilities

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, with the support of Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje, has been continuously implementing the project “Improving the Socialization of Children and Youth with Disabilities” since 2011.

The activities are aimed at supporting children and youth with disabilities who are included in day care centers, as well as children placed in foster families. These activities are carried out through the City Red Cross of Skopje and the Red Cross Branches of Prilep, Kavadarci, Veles, Delchevo, Kichevo, Gostivar, and Debar.

In 2026, the cooperation between the Red Cross and Komercijalna Banka continues, with a focus on enhancing and expanding activities for the socialization and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities.

Within the project activities, creative, educational, and recreational workshops are organized, along with psychosocial support and activities that encourage the development of social skills, self-confidence, and active participation in the community.
