Regional First Aid Competition for Region 1 for 2026

On May 9, 2026, in the center of Prilep, the Red Cross of RNM organized the Regional First Aid competition for Region 1. The competition was hosted by the Red Cross Branch Prilep. A total of 14 teams from 14 Red Cross branches participated in the competition (Kumanovo, Negotino, Gazi Baba, Prilep, Probishtip, Centar, Kichevo, Kavadarci, Gostivar, Vinica, Kriva Palanka, Resen, Berovo, and Chair).

During the ceremonial opening and closing of the competition, volunteers and guests were addressed by the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM, PhD Sait Saiti, the Mayor of the Municipality of Prilep, Mr. Dejan Prodanoski, and the Vice President of the Red Cross Branch Prilep, Ms. Gordana Tosheska.

The regional competition was conducted across two tracks, each consisting of 8 stations — 5 first aid stations and 3 entertainment stations.

The top 5 teams from this region, which achieved the best results and qualified for the 2026 national first aid competition, are:

1. Red Cross Branch Centar – 1st place
2. Red Cross Branch Kichevo – 2nd place
3. Red Cross Branch Vinica – 3rd place
4. Red Cross Branch Prilep – 4th place
5. Red Cross Branch Gazi Baba – 5th place

In the category of entertainment games and dissemination, awards were also presented to the top three teams as an incentive to continue their enthusiasm and contribution in the field of first aid.

The Red Cross will continue to promote the culture of first aid and create opportunities for young people to actively engage in humanitarian and educational activities. First aid competitions represent significant support for young people in acquiring and improving their knowledge and skills, while encouraging a sense of responsibility, humanity, and readiness to help within the community.
