Regional First Aid Competitions 2026

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia makes a special contribution to promoting first aid in educational institutions, where we continue to educate young people about the importance of providing proper and timely first aid. In order to further raise awareness among youth, as well as to enhance their knowledge and practical skills, we organize first aid competitions.

In May, the Red Cross of RNM will organize two regional first aid competitions for the qualified teams from the branch first aid competitions of secondary schools across the country. This year’s theme of the competitions is “First aid in an urban environment.”

This year, the hosts of the regional competitions will be the Red Cross Branch Prilep in Region 1 and the Red Cross Branch Kisela Voda in Region 2. The regional competition for Region 1 will be held on May 9, 2026, in the city center of Prilep, while the regional competition for Region 2 will be held on May 16, 2025, in “Toshe Proeski” Park in Skopje. A total of 30 first aid teams will participate in both regional competitions, with 15 teams in each region.

First aid competitions represent significant support for young people in acquiring and improving their knowledge and abilities, while also contributing to increased awareness of timely and effective response in emergency situations, encouraging a sense of responsibility, humanity, and readiness to help in the community.
