The Secretary General of the Red Cross, Saiti, visits the Red Cross Branch in Bitola

Today, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, Sait Saiti, visited the Red Cross Branch Bitola. The visit took place during a period when the organization is implementing activities to renovate the premises, aiming to adapt them for the development of new social services in the community.

The renovation is intended to establish a Day Care Center for older people, as well as to provide services such as home care and assistance, personal assistance for people with disabilities, and the emergency button service. The emergency button is a service intended for people over 65 years of age who live alone, beneficiaries of the “Home Care and Assistance” service and other frail individuals who live alone and are beneficiaries of the “Day Center for the Elderly” service.

During the visit, the Secretary General Saiti was informed by the President of the Red Cross Branch Bitola, Liljana Ristevska, about the activities the organization is carrying out, as well as the challenges and plans for future development.
