Participation on the ceremonial celebration of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Red Cross of Serbia

On 06.02.2026, a delegation of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, headed by the Secretary General, PhD Sait Saiti, paid an official visit and participated in the ceremonial celebration of the 150^th anniversary of the foundation of the Red Cross of Serbia. On the occasion of the jubilee, a Ceremonial Academy was organized, bringing together high-level representatives of national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, state institutions, international partners, and other guests, who jointly paid tribute to a century and a half of dedicated humanitarian work.

Participation in this significant jubilee event provided an opportunity to reaffirm the traditionally good cooperation between the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Red Cross of Serbia. As part of the visit, meetings were also held with the leadership of the Red Cross of Serbia, as well as with other attending delegations from national societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross, during which preparedness was expressed to further enhance  cooperation in the interest of protecting and promoting humanitarian values.
