Regional First Aid Competition 2026 of the Red Cross of RNM for Region 2

On 17 May 2026, the Regional first aid competition of the Red Cross of RNM for Region 2 was held at the Toshe Proeski Park in Skopje, hosted by the Red Cross Branch Kisela Voda. Teams from 15 Red Cross Branches participated in the competition (Bitola, Veles, Gevgelija, Demir Hisar, Delchevo, Kochani, Ohrid, Radovish, Sveti Nikole, Struga, Strumica, Tetovo, Shtip, Karposh and Kisela Voda).

During the official opening and closing ceremonies, the volunteers were addressed by the President of the Red Cross of RNM, Prof. Dr. Romel Velev, the Mayor of Aerodrom Municipality, Mr. Dejan Miteski, and the President of the Red Cross Branch Kisela Voda, Mr. Muamet Kasami.

The regional competition was conducted in two tracks, each consisting of eight posts, of which five were first aid practical posts and three were entertainment and recreational stations.

The five best teams from this region, which achieved the highest scores and qualified for the 2026 National First Aid Competition, are:

1. Red Cross Branch Karposh – First Place
2. Red Cross Branch Ohrid – Second Place
3. Red Cross Branch Bitola – Third Place
4. Red Cross Branch Shtip – Fourth Place
5. Red Cross Branch Kisela Voda – Fifth Place

In the category of recreational games and dissemination activities, awards were also presented to the top three teams as motivation to continue their enthusiasm and contribution in the field of first aid.

First aid competitions play an important role in the education of young people, enabling them to acquire practical knowledge, develop humanitarian values, and strengthen their preparedness to assist within the community. The Red Cross will continue investing in the promotion of first aid, creating new opportunities for young people to actively participate in humanitarian and educational activities.
