Visit to Bulgaria

In anticipation of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day –  May 8, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, PhD Sait Saiti visited the Bulgarian Red Cross, where he attended a ceremonial event held at the Museum of the Bulgarian Red Cross in Sofia under the slogan “On the Side of Humanity.”

During the visit, a meeting was held with the President of the Bulgarian Red Cross, Hristo Grigorov, and Secretary General Krasimir Gigov, during which they discussed the upcoming rotation of the management of the Secretariat of the “Neighbors Help First” network. According to the network’s operating regulations, management of the Secretariat changes every two years.

In the upcoming period, a formal meeting will be held between the two national societies to transfer resources and documentation from the network’s past work, as well as to prepare for the next regular annual meeting of the network’s member organizations.
