5th December – World Day of Volunteering
Volunteers and volunteering in each state represent enormous human potential that is continuously mobilized according to the needs of the community. The value that volunteers create and embed in their activities is “priceless” because it possesses a particular quality that is enriched with the human dimension of goodwill.
Traditionally, the Macedonian Red Cross, on the occasion of December 5th – World Volunteer Day, organizes an event to mark this important day, which aims to highlight the importance of volunteering and acting in humanitarian activities.
This year, on December 4, at 11:00 h in the premises of the Museum of the City of Skopje, a Volunteer Conference will be organized under the slogan “Volunteers build stable communities”.
The President of Macedonian Red Cross , Rommel Velev, will have an introductory address at the event. The participants in the conference are Sait Saiti – Secretary General of the Macedonian Red Cross, Mila Tsarovska – Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Vivre Vimpari – Head of Operations Department 2 European Delegation in Skopje, Lidija Dimova – Director of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility, Blazen Malevski – President of the National Youth Council of Macedonia, Sanja Stefanovik – Program coordinator at Youth educational forum, prof. Marija Topuzovska Latković – Institute for Sociological and Political Juridical Research, Ivana Marincek – Chamber of Psychologists of the Republic of Macedonia, Prof. Rade Rajkovcevski – Faculty of Security – Skopje at the University “St. Kliment Ohridski “- Bitola, Zivko Mukaetov – Alkaloid AD Skopje.
At the event will be awarded volunteer awards for special achievements by the Macedonian Red Cross.
