77th Anniversary of the Red Cross of RNM

Today on March 17, the Foundation Day of the Red Cross of RNM and the Blood Donation Day in RNM was marked with an appropriate event in hotel Limak. The event was attended by the Prime Minister of RNM – Dimitar Kovacevski, the President of the Red Cross of RNM Romel Velev, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM Sait Saiti, representatives of institutions, international organizations in the country, as well as representatives of Red Cross branches.

The Secretary General of the Red Cross addressed the present at the event, emphasized the significance of the 77th anniversary of the foundation of the Red Cross of RNM, and reminded us of all our achievements so far, deeply aware that we must keep up with the times and be prepared to transform and adapt our work to new challenges.

In his address, the Prime Minister stressed that the Red Cross is a symbol of unity of all humanitarian workers, blood donors, volunteers, and donors of assistance to people around the world, to the categories of citizens who at some point found themselves in an unfavorable situation. At the same time, he used the opportunity on this important date to become a Red Cross volunteer. For the successful cooperation with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the special efforts in the realization of the mission of the Red Cross, the Red Cross of the RNM awarded the “Medal of the Red Cross of RNM” to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
