Lessons Learned Workshop for applying the tool for cash transfer and vouchers

The Red Cross of the Red Cross of RNM, in frames of CONEX Balkan Project “COVID 19 response to improve the socio-economic situation of marginalized persons in 6 countries in the Western Balkans”, supported by the Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Red Cross, held a lessons learned workshop on the application of the Certification in Cash and Voucher Assistance – (CVA). The training was conducted from November 10 to 12, 2022, in the educational training center “Solferino” in Struga and was targeted for caregivers for older people and people with disabilities. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Austrian Red Cross, Christian Diemt, who coordinates and supports the project activities, and Wolfgang Klug, a facilitator on the CVA tool. The staff of the Red Cross of RNM shared the previous experiences of using the CVA tool, as well as the results of the satisfaction of the trained caregivers for the financial assistance provided by the Red Cross for a period of three months. Positive experiences were shared by representatives of the City Red Cross of Skopje and the Red Cross Branch Gazi Baba.

The workshop was attended by two representatives from the Red Cross branches of Bitola, Shtip, Struga, Sveti Nikole, Probishtip, Krushevo and Kumanovo who are involved in the project activities, as well as representatives of five RC branches who have experience in providing training for caregivers. Within the evaluation of the workshop, the participants emphasized that they are satisfied with the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge about the CVA tool, but also to hear more information about the positive experiences of the national society from the previous application of the tool.
