Marking the World Day for fight against Tuberculosis

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, in accordance with the recommendations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, joins the marking of March 24 – the World Day for fight against Tuberculosis (TB) under the motto: “Yes! We can end TB”.

Every day, over 4,000 people die from TB, and nearly 30,000 people contract this preventable and curable disease. Tuberculosis mostly affects adults in their prime years. However, all age groups are at risk.

In order to join the global efforts to end the global TB epidemic, the Red Cross and the Red Cross branches and the City Red Cross of Skopje will share posters and posts on social media about the importance of timely prevention and early diagnosis of tuberculosis.
