Training on Cash and Voucher Assistance, October 14-17, Sutomore

From October 14-17, 2024, an international training on cash and voucher assistance – level I was held at the “House of Solidarity” in Sutomore, Montenegro. The training was organized with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Delegation of the Custer Office of the IFRC for Central and Southeast Europe, and co-hosted by the Red Cross of Montenegro.

The training had 20 participants, including two representatives from the Red Cross of North Macedonia, along with attendees from the national societies of Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Albania, and Bulgaria. The training was facilitated by experienced delegates from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as well as the IFRC cluster office of for Central and Southeast Europe.

The goal of this training was to provide staff within the Movement with the necessary knowledge and capacity to understand their role in implementing cash and voucher assistance and to acquire the skills and knowledge required for increased program effectiveness, efficiency, and quality. The training covered modalities and delivery mechanisms for cash assistance, as well as enhancing inter-sectorial understanding of all functions involved in “cash and voucher assistance” and sharing best practices among teams.

The Secretary General of the Red Cross of Montenegro, Ms. Jelena Dubak, greeted the present at the training, wishing them successful work with hopes for continued cooperation, exchange of experiences, and strengthening mutual cooperation to fulfill their shared humanitarian mission.
