Training for rescue and distribution of humanitarian relief in winter conditions
In the period 31.03 -02.04.2017, in the hotel Arena in Popova Shapka, there was a training for rescue and distribution of humanitarian relief in winter conditions. On the training there were topics for avalanches, snow and snow profiles, skiing, rescue, safety and risk during rescue and distribution. After completion of the theoretical part and practical part, from the organizational team there was a simulation exercise on which participants have conducted a search and rescue over a lost skier covered by snow from an avalanche at Popova Shapka. Participants as although beginners, have shown high level of knowledge and craft in coping with situations in winter conditions and all of them have gained certificates for completed training for rescue and distribution of humanitarian relief in winter conditions.
Participants of the training were 19 representatives (staff and volunteers) from the City Red Cross of Skopje and Red Cross Branches Bitola, Ohrid, Veles and Kriva Palanka.
