Event with participants of the simulation exercise “Humanitarian Response 2023”

On November 5, 2023, the Red Cross of RNM organized an event with the participants of the simulation exercise “Humanitarian Response 2023”. The event was held at the Marriott Hotel in Skopje in presence of a large number of institutions and companies that participated and supported the organization and implementation of the simulation exercise that aimed to present the capacities, opportunities and preparedness of the Red Cross of North Macedonia and the coordination and joint response in times of emergencies. The exercise was carried out on October 18, 2023 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Mr. Stevo Pendarovski and with the support of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.

At the event, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM, PhD. Sait Saiti, addressed the present and expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the excellent implementation of the simulation exercise, which showed that by investing in capacity building of all responsible institutions and stakeholders, we can all give a special contribution to improving the safety and well-being of the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia during emergency situations. On behalf of the Government of RNM, Mrs. Jovana Trenchevska, Minister of Labor and Social Policy also extended her appreciation and gratitude for the good organization of the simulation exercise.

As a token of appreciation for the support and implementation of the simulation exercise, certificates of appreciation were awarded by the Red Cross of RNM at the event to participants and supporters in the simulation exercise who were not awarded certificates of appreciation on the day of the organization of the simulation exercise. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Bureau of Public Safety, Fire Brigade, Macedonian Radio Television, PHI Health Centre Skopje-Emergency Medical Service, City General Hospital 8th of September, PHI University Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics-Skopje, Zan Mitrev Clinic, PHI Neuromedika, Acibadem Sistina Clinical Hospital and Chamber of Psychologists. Certificates of appreciation of the Red Cross of RNM were also awarded to the following public enterprises and companies that provided support and sponsorship for the successful implementation of the exercise: Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia – Turkey, Alma-M, Dauti-Komerc, Europa 92, Skopje Brewery, Restaurant Garden, JSP Skopje, Ecological Service, Fruit Import, Dugojon Engineering, PC Parkings of the Municipality of Centar, PC City Parking, PC Streets and Roads, PC Parks and Greenery, Skopje Marriott Hotel.

Certificates of appreciation of Red Cross of RNM were also awarded to Mr. Vancho Shontevski, the director of the simulation exercise, Mr. Burak Shabani, the co-director of the simulation exercise, and Mr. Ivan Kuzmanovski, the moderator of the simulation exercise.

At the event, the participants had the opportunity to watch the video of the simulation exercise with participation of a large number of specialized teams of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, institutions from the crisis management system of the state, representatives of ministries of the Government of the RNM, the Army of the RNM, a large number of health institutions and public enterprises and partner organizations of the Red Cross from the region and beyond.
