Forum on voluntary blood donation

Forum on voluntary blood donation “Safe blood for all” was held in hotel Sirius Strumica in the period of June 21-22, 2019. The event was attended by the Minister of Health of RM D.r Venko Filipce, Macedonian Red Cross secretary general PhD Sait Saiti and the President of Macedonian Red Cross, Prof. Dr. Romel Velev, representatives of the Institute for Blood Transfussion, numerous blood donors, motivators and representatives of Red Cross Branches. 

The Forum was addressed by the Minister of Health of RM D.r Venko Filipce, who emphasized the cooperation with the red Cross, not only in the sphere of blood donation but also in the area of administering first aid, patronage services, and home care services.

The Macedonian Red Cross President, Prof. Dr. Romel Velev also addressed the present and spoke about the continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the efforts of the red Cross for meeting the needs in the area of provision of 55 thousand  blood units on annual level, with the support of 18 thousand blood donors.
