Meeting of the Secretaries General from Southern and Southeastern Europe Cluster

On February 26-27, a regular meeting of the Secretaries General from the national Red Cross societies that are part of the IFRC Cluster for Southern and Southeastern Europe was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The participants discussed the risks faced by the national societies and the Movement in their ongoing work, categorized as strategic, operational, reputational, and financial risks. Positive practices were shared by the Luxembourg Red Cross and the Turkish Red Crescent regarding the structures set up in their national societies to prevent and respond to such risks. During the meeting, a special session was held on climate change and the risk of increased consequences it causes in the region.
