Workshop for Disseminators on IHL (International Humanitarian Law)

From November 29 to December 1, 2024, a training for disseminators on international humanitarian law was held at the “Solferino” training center in Struga, with participants from the Headquarters and local branches of the Red Cross.

The training was conducted as part of the annual dissemination program supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The aim of the training was to strengthen the capacities of Red Cross local branches in the field of dissemination of international humanitarian law, specifically to promote international norms outlined in the Geneva and Hague Conventions, the specific protective role of the Red Cross emblem and its usage, the Additional Protocols to the Geneva Conventions, and other acts of international law.

A special focus during the workshop was given to the protection of cultural landmarks and monuments, the abuse of child soldiers, the protection of the media, and the misuse of healthcare facilities.
