November – Month of fight against addiction diseases

The month of November, according to the calendar of traditional activities of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, is dedicated to the fight against addiction diseases (drugs, alcohol and cigarettes). This year, the focus for marking the month will be on the young population aged 14 to 19 years. We mark the month under the motto “Get informed and make a decision!“

For this purpose, the Red Cross branches will organize peer education activities for the secondary school students on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia.

In the last week of the month, we will organize a panel discussion for young people with participation of experts who will speak about the harmful consequences of addictions and will propose measures for their prevention (state institutions such as departments of internal affairs, centers for social work, health institutions and/or organizations dealing with issues in this area).
