Participation of a representative of the Red Cross of RNM in Climate Change Training
The Regional Office for Europe of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies organized a training on climate change in the period of November 5–7, 2024, in Budapest, Hungary.
The training was attended by representatives from the Red Cross of North Macedonia, the German Red Cross, Bulgarian Red Cross, Estonian Red Cross of Estonia, Turkish Red Crescent, Croatian Red Cross, Albanian Red Cross, Hungarian Red Cross, and the Red Cross of Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The main goal of the training was to strengthen the capacities of national societies in Europe for timely response and dealing with the impacts of climate change, in close cooperation with authorities and local communities. During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about techniques and tools for identifying community needs and capacities, as well as engaging them in disaster response in the case of climate change-induced emergencies.
