Red cross activities

Dear All,

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in our country, the Red Cross of RNM has been present among the population with preventive activities as well as assistance and support to the most vulnerable categories of population.

 

Mobile teams have been established in 22 cities that are active every day and are tasked with supplying medicines, food and personal hygiene essentials and delivering them to the homes of elderly, frail, chronically ill people, to families with special needs, single parents and other vulnerable categories of citizens. The mobile teams are made up of disaster response teams and trained personnel to provide basic medical care. The service provided by the mobile teams is free, and citizens should only allocate funds for the items or medicines they will need to purchase. The purpose of this activity is to provide support to those most in need, so that they will not have to leave their homes and thus reduce the risk of infection with the Covid-19 virus (coronavirus).

Additionally, humanitarian aid for the homeless is distributed and an awareness campaign is carried out by distribution of posters promoting hygiene and protection against coronavirus.
