The Minister of Health Dr. Arben Taravari visited the Red Cross

Today, on August 19, 2024, the Minister of Health, Dr. Arben Taravari, visited the Red Cross of RNM. The Minister was welcomed by the Secretary General, PhD. Sait Saiti who emphasized the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Health in terms of building healthy and safe communities.

In the future, the Red Cross remains a serious partner of the Ministry in promoting the health prevention of the population, improving the mental health and well-being of the population, building the population’s resistance to health risks, as well as the preparedness the of communities to cope with the consequences from crisis and emergency situations.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Taravari, was informed about the services implemented by the Red Cross for provision of assistance and support to citizens, such as: emergency button, home care and support, and special transportation for older people and people with disabilities. The activities carried out in the Blood Donation Center, the First Aid Training Center and the Care Center were presented on a live link.

The Minister emphasized that the Red Cross is an important partner of the government and looks forward to the possibility of enhancing the mutual cooperation in dealing with future challenges in the country.

On the occasion of World Humanity Day, August 19, it was a great opportunity to present to the Ministry of Health the work of the Red Cross through services and activities for protection and promotion of the health of the population in dealing with health risks.
