Training for educators for promotion of hygiene and protection from COVID-19 supported by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

In the period of 19 to 21.02.2021, the Red Cross of RNM, within the activities for coping with the consequences from COVID-19 organized training for educators for promotion of hygiene and protection from COVID19. The training was conducted in the Red Cross training center in Struga and was attended by 18 participants, representatives of the City Red Cross of Skopje and Red Cross branches (Center, Chair, Karposh, Gazi Baba, Kisela Voda, Kumanovo, Kochani, Shtip, Veles, Strumica, Prilep, Bitola, Tetovo, Gostivar, Kichevo, Ohrid and Struga).

The training was prepared and conducted by the Red Cross of RNM international instructors for promotion of hygiene in crisis situations. The discussed topics were hygiene promotion, protection from COVID-19, the role of the Red Cross of RNM in epidemics, SFERA standards, community mapping and opportunities to organize activities. The participants came up with 18 new proposals for activities for promotion of hygiene and during the month of March 2021, educators in their communities will have to do at least 3 educations for promotion of hygiene and protection from COVID-19 aimed at the vulnerable population, especially in educational institutions.

The training was conducted in accordance with the protocols for COVID-19 imposed by the Government of RNM.
