Joint management of stock reserves for emergency situations in Southeast Europe

The Red Cross of Serbia organized a partnership meeting in the period from November 15 to 17, 2022, in Serbia-Belgrade. The meeting was held within the project: Strengthening cross-border preparedness through joint management of stock reserves for emergency situations in Southeast Europe.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the national societies of the Red Cross and representatives of the Civil Protection from Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia and a representative from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

At the meeting, the working version of the X-STOCK platform was presented, as well as proposals for additions/changes to the content of tabs (types of stock reserves, aid teams, material and technical assets), which in the event of a disaster would be offered to the countries affected by a disaster. Standard operating procedures for regional management of actions in case of a disaster were presented, to facilitate cooperation and communication between national societies in emergency situations. They were shared with civil protection representatives.
