30th National First Aid Competition
The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Science, held the 30th National First Aid Competition on September 21, 2024, in the park of Gjorče Petrov-Skopje, hosted by the Red Cross Branch Karposh.
Twelve teams from twelve Red Cross branches from primary and secondary schools from various cities participated in the competition, competing in first aid skills. These activities aim to raise awareness about the importance of first aid and to train young people in skills that can save lives.
At the event, speeches were made by the Secretary General of the Red Cross of North Macedonia, Sait Saiti, the Mayor of the Gjorče Petrov municipality, Aleksandar Stojkoski, and the Deputy Minister of Education, Lulzim Aliu.
Promotional booths and first aid demonstrations were set up in front of the KAM MALL Shopping Center, showcasing services provided by the Red Cross aimed at the adult population, such as the Emergency Button, Specialized Transport, the Metal Health Center, as well as free blood sugar and blood pressure measurements.
The winner of this year’s National First Aid Competition is the team from the Red Cross Branch of Bitola, second place went to the team from the Red Cross Branch of Kumanovo, and the winner of the third place was the Red Cross Branch of Radoviš.
