Assistance for the affected population from the floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Intense rainfall affecting parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina has caused flooding and landslides, resulting in loss of human lives and significant material damage. More than 20 residential units have been completely destroyed, and the life and health of hundreds of families are at great risk. According to current information, 24 people died, and many people are missing.

The Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina has activated all available resources to prevent and alleviate human suffering and to protect life, health, and human dignity. Given the scale and intensity of the disaster, additional assistance and support is needed.

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia immediately contacted the Red Cross of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and based on the assessment of needs, offered assistance in material, technical, and human resources to address the consequences of the floods. From its reserves, the Red Cross of North Macedonia allocated €10,000 as initial aid for the affected population.
