Council of Delegates of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement

On October 27-28, a meeting of the Council of Delegates of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement was held in Geneva. Representatives from national societies, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the International Committee of the Red Cross adopted a total of 9 resolutions aimed at strengthening the Movement’s protection and enhancing collective impact in safeguarding people. A new Migration Strategy of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement for 2024-2030 was adopted, and the implementation period for the Strategy on Restoring Family Links 2020-2025 has been extended to 2030. The Council also discussed the agenda and topics to be addressed at the upcoming 34th International Conference, where States will be called to respect and support principled humanitarian action.
