Humanitarian response 2023

Exactly 60 years ago, Skopje faced the biggest disaster in its history – a devastating earthquake. In the moments when the city was facing most difficult moments – our volunteers and staff showed the greatest solidarity and unity. 💪

Since then, our work has not stopped! We are constantly working towards strengthening our capacities and strengthening our preparedness in responding to crisis situations! 🚁🚒🚑🚨

Today, the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia is organizing a simulation exercise for first aid in an emergency situation – scenario earthquake, in Skopje, on October 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Some of the access streets in and to the Skopje City Park during the exercise will be closed for three hours, and the parking lot in front of the City Park hotel will operate with reduced capacity.

The patron of the exercise is the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski. Institutions that are part of the Crisis Management System and national and foreign Red Cross teams will take part in the exercise.  🏥🏬
