International School on Migrations
From September 17 to 21, the Red Cross organized the International School on Migration was organized in Struga for the second time. The school was attended by representatives from the National Red Cross Societies of: Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Russia, as well as participants from the RNM.
Today there was a panel discussion on the following topics:
- Migrations and their impact on the domestic population and public institutions
- The importance of inter-institutional cooperation.
The present were addressed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Oliver Spasovki, as well as the Secretary General of the Red Cross, Mr. Sait Saiti.
During the sessions, presentation were conducted by representatives from UNHCR, IOM, MYLA, and Ministry of the Interior. The Vice-President of the Red Cross Mrs. Liliana Ristovska attended the ceremonial opening of the event.
Young people had the opportunity to learn about migrations through theoretical and practical exercises prepared and specially designed for them.
