Support for the BOCA process

From December 9 to 12, a meeting on the BOCA tool was held at the office of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Geneva. Several representatives from different national societies from around the world, including our national society, shared their experiences and approaches used in implementing this tool. The tool was developed about ten years ago and aims to strengthen branch organizations and build strong organizations in line with development strategies. Due to the changes occurring globally at all levels, the tool needs to be revised and adapted according to these changes and needs. The entire process will take place in 2025 through focus groups, interviews, group work, online meetings, and all other necessary activities.

The Red Cross of North Macedonia began using the BOCA tool in 2023, and by the end of 2024, assessments have been conducted in all Red Cross branches.
