Visit of delegation of the Albanian Red Cross
From September 27 to 29, 2024, a 10 member delegation of the Albanian Red Cross, headed by the General Secretary Artur Katuci, visited the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia. They participated in a joint meeting held at the Solferino hotel. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Head Office of the Red Cross of North Macedonia, headed by the Secretary General PhD. Sait Saiti, as well as representatives from the governing and management structures of the Red Cross branches of Bitola, Gostivar, Kumanovo, and Chair.
On September 27, 2024, a formal ceremony was held for signing of a four-year cooperation agreement between the Red Cross Branch Gostivar and the Red Cross organization from Elbasan.
During September 28 and 29, the sister organizations from both national societies exchanged experiences and prepared plans for bilateral cooperation for 2025. This includes collaborations between Bitola and Vlorë, Gostivar and Elbasan, Kumanovo and Durrës, and Chair and Korçë.
The sister organizations identified activities to be included in a unified annual action plan, detailing the activities, timelines, expected results, and necessary resources. This plan will be added as an annex to the signed bilateral agreements in October, and the head offices will be responsible for monitoring their implementation.
In October/November of the following year, the sister organizations will hold online or in-person meetings to establish action plans for the upcoming year. They will prepare a periodic report on the results of international cooperation every two years and a final report upon the expiration of the cooperation agreement.
