Week of solidarity 15 – 21 April 2019

On 15 April 2019, the Macedonian Red Cross in cooperation with the Association “Site Siti” held a press conference on the occasion of the Week of Solidarity under the motto “Your contribution – significant help” in order to raise the awareness of the population for the necessary mutual support and assistance for the vulnerable population.

The meeting was addressed by the General Secretary of the Macedonian Red Cross Phd. Sait Saiti and the President of the Association “Site Siti” Blaze Josifovski.

Phd. Saiti informed that in the framework of the “Week of Solidarity”, a joint action is  organized for assistance in: food, clothing, footwear, hygiene products, as well as donated funds. The action is implemented through the City Red Cross of Skopje and the Macedonian Red Cross branches.

In the action, interested citizens and legal entities can donate by calling  in the mobile phone numbers – donation of 100,00 MKD: 070/075/077 143 400 and payment of funds to the account of the Solidarity Fund of the Macedonian Red Cross: 300000001327966 AD Commercial Bank, DB 4030984271620

In the period from April 15 to 21, humanitarian action “From house to house” are organized for providing donation in cash contributions. The campaign is engaged by volunteers of Macedonian Red Cross branches in Macedonia who will make visits to 15,000 families in their homes as possible donors and supporters of humanitarian action. Each family will be given a flyer with information about the action where citizens can notice the amount of their donation, according to their desire and opportunity.

The collected assistance,  as well as the donated funds for providing food, will be intended to help families facing a certain social risk.
