Workshop on project planning process for the “Development Fund and Projects”

From November 8-10, 2024, a training workshop on project planning process for the “Development Fund and Projects” was held at the Solferino Hotel in Struga. The training was targeted for representatives of 8 Red Cross branches that had previously expressed interest in further development or had submitted project applications in response to calls for support within the Development Fund.

During the training, the participants were briefed on criteria and conditions for prject applying, as defined in the Rules of Procedure of the Development Fund and Projects of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia. The formats for preparing project proposals and project budgets were discussed, and positive examples and experiences from supported projects funded by the “Development Fund and Projects” in previous years were shared.

The workshop was attended by staff and volunteers from the Red Cross branches of Gostivar, Kochani, Radovish, Sveti Nikole, Probishtip, Shtip, Berovo, and Kriva Palanka.

Interactive methods were used to explore topics related to the development of the branch organizations, focusing on supporting initiatives to increase membership, volunteers, or maintaining financial stability.

Participants were also introduced to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ approach to the “Project Planning Process” and were provided with the text of the translated manual on project planning process.
