5th Forum for voluntary blood donation

On the occasion of June 14 – World Blood Donation Day, the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia organized the 5th Forum for Voluntary Blood Donation, which was held in the period from June 9 to 11, 2023 at the Recreation and Training Centre “Solferino” in Struga. The theme of the Forum was: “New concept for voluntary blood donation among the young population”.

The Forum was attended by 16 young volunteers from the Red Cross Branches, where they had the opportunity to discuss about the new concept for voluntary blood donation for young people and the promotion of peer education as a model for good functionality in the Red Cross branches.

The purpose of the Forum was to provide young people, as the future of our social life and priority target group in the area blood donation, with proper education, and to ensure that they are following the latest developments, to network and exchange experiences, to pass relevant information, to use the positive experiences in the area of voluntary blood donation, to support and implement initiatives of young people in order to promote blood donation in their communities.
