August 18, the Army Day

On behalf of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, let me congratulate all members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, August 18, the Army Day.

The Army of the Republic of North Macedonia as well as the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia tirelessly serves and cares for the citizens of our country, providing daily protection, safety and security. The efforts of the members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, a full-fledged member of NATO in the protection of democracy and security, make a special contribution to the well-being and progress of the Republic of North Macedonia and our society.

In the moments when the country is facing crisis situations and emergencies such as now the pandemic with Covid-19, the members of the Army have justified the trust and are always up to the task, performing professionally and responsibly all assignments for protection of health and life of our citizens.

Our two institutions have worked closely together many times and have been working together to overcome the consequences of various challenges related to providing assistance and support to affected target groups in the country. We sincerely hope that our fruitful cooperation will continue in the future in the interest of the well-being of the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia.
