Visit to the Bulgarian Red Cross

At the invitation of the Bulgarian Red Cross in the period 28-29.05.2021, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia Dr. Sait Saiti paid a visit to the Bulgarian Red Cross in Sofia.

The occasion for the visit was a participation on the election session of the Assembly of the Bulgarian Red Cross for the term 2021-2024. During the election session for the upcoming term, Academician Hristo Grigorov was elected for President of the Bulgarian Red Cross, while the newly elected Vice-Presidents of the National Society are prof. Zdravko Marinov, Dr. Valentin Peev and Stojcho Stojchev.

During the session the Bulgarian Red Cross presented the achievements and results in the period 2017-2020 with special emphasis on the latest developments related to the pandemic COVID – 19.

After the election session, the Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, Dr. Sait Saiti met with the elected leadership and the General Director of the Bulgarian Red Cross to discuss the continuation of positive practices in the cooperation between the two national societies.
