Participation in training for trainers for “Branch organizational capacities assessment
In the period 11-14.07.2023, at the hotel “NH Budapest City” in Budapest, a training of “Branch organizational capacities assessment” trainers was held, in which have participated 19 selected representatives from National Societies of the Red Cross and Red Crescent from Europe and Central Asia, with Vladimir Vukelic who participated from the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia. Branch organizational capacities assessment (BOCA) is an instrument developed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, which aims, through a structured way, to enable self-assessment of the Red Cross Branches for 34 organizational areas, to identify the level at which they are in the context in these areas, to determine priorities and a plan for development of the Branch for the upcoming year.
Within the framework of the training, topics were elaborated such as how to train facilitators for the implementation of BOCA, techniques for holding training sessions with facilitators, the process of preparations of National Societies for the implementation of BOCA, sharing positive practices from implementation in other NSs, promotion of IFRC digital platforms for monitoring the implementation of BOCA and creation of a network of trainers in Europe and Central Asia.
After the completed training, the trainers become part of a wider list of IFRC trainers who will be able to conduct trainings for the needs of the National Societies for implementing BOCA, and at the same time they can support the implementation within their national societies.
