Preparatory workshop for the exercise “National Response 2019”

Representatives of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia and the Municipal Organization Stip on 26.06.2019 were part of the Main Planning Conference for the forthcoming Exercise for Disaster Response “National Response 2019”, organized by the Joint Operational Command. The expert associate for Disaster Preparedness and Action in the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, Ali Samet, informed about the organization’s capabilities in the part of the requirements of the forthcoming exercise, emphasizing that the Red Cross continues to nurture the partnership relationship with institutions that deal with crisis and disaster management. He expressed his readiness for the Municipal Organization of the Red Cross Stip to be a full partner with all stakeholders within the exercise which will be held from September 16th to September 19th. Apart from the representatives of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia, representatives of the Army and the General Staff, the Ministries of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Health and Agriculture, the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, the Center for Crisis Management, the Municipal Headquarters for protection and rescue of Stip together with the public local enterprises and the anti-personnel brigade, as well as representatives of the municipal crisis headquarters of the municipalities of Vinica, Kocani and Zrnovci. The National Response exercise is a comprehensive exercise that covers both the civil and military sectors, that is, all government and non-governmental institutions dealing with the elementary disasters.
