The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia expresses its condolences to the citizens, families and institutions of Albania for the victims of the earthquake. At the same time, we are hopeful, and pray that the number of victims will not increase and we wish a fast recovery of the injured.
The Red Cross monitors the situation on the ground and is in constant contact with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Albanian Red Cross and government institutions to identify priority needs in the field to organize a humanitarian response.
The Red Cross of RNM made a decision from its own reserves to provide initial cash assistance in the amount of EUR 10.000 intended for earthquake victims, as well as material humanitarian aid, as follows:
