Red Cross of Republic of North Macedonia – Red Cross of the City of Skopje JOB VACANCY

The engagement is within the project: “Integrated care and support service business development in the RCNM”, supported by the Austrian Development Agency, Austrian Red Cross, RCNM and Swiss Red Cross.

The Red Cross is looking for employees whose main responsibility will be to pilot the service Emergency Button (EB) on the territory of the city of Skopje, intended for 60 older men and women who will be selected as users for the newly introduced service.

The emergency button will be a 24/7 service, which the users of the elderly population will be able to use in their homes, by pressing the alarm device, intended to be worn, whenever they find themselves in a condition that is not life-threatening, but is serious enough and needs urgency, first aid and support (injury, limb fractures, accidental fall, wound bleeding, burn injuries, medical emergencies, allergic reactions, etc.). Through the devices they will be able to communicate with the Operators from the Contact Center, which will provide them with fast and efficient access to appropriate support and assistance, by professionals and volunteers of the EB in the Red Cross of RNM. RCNM will establish an efficient service for Emergency Button and it is inspired by the Austrian and Swiss experiences for efficient operation of care services for the elderly population.

Profile, job tasks and qualifications:

  • Job title: Driver/ work in three shifts 27/4 ( 1 position)

Job tasks:

 

  • Following the directions given by the project coordinator
  • Current work in the software applications intended for this service
  • Constant communication with customers through telephone
  • Driving the patient transport vehicle and providing transport (FR, patients to hospital)
  • FR support in case of emergency
  • Carries out transport to the homes of the users for installation of the necessary equipment for the functioning of the service.
  • Document and fill in the vehicle diary with mileage, fuel and hours spent.
  • Daily care for the condition and hygiene of the designated driving vehicle
  • Other obligations in accordance with the project activities

 

  • Qualifications:
    • Diploma for completed secondary medical education or high school for nurses and / or advanced first aid training;
    • Ability to work in 3 shifts;
    • Planning and organization skills;
    • Focus on timely fulfillment of assigned tasks;
    • Using software with previously provided training;
    • Sensitivity to work with the elderly and people with disabilities
    • Driving license B category

 

  • Job title: Paramedic (medical nurse)- work in 3 shifts-24/7 (1 position)

 

  • Job tasks:
    • Following the directions given by the project coordinator
    • Field activities in emergencies
    • Ongoing work in software applications intended for this service
    • Constant communication with customers through a telephone exchange
    • Constant communication and notification to the Emergency Button Center in accordance with the existing directions
    • Arriving at the scene of the emergency on your own and with equipment
    • User assessment and treatment according to the principles of operation
    • Keeping and preparing the necessary documentation
    • Other obligations in accordance with the project activities

 

  • Qualifications:
    • Diploma for completed secondary medical education or high school for nurses and / or advanced first aid training;
    • Ability to work in 3 shifts;
    • Planning and organization skills;
    • Focus on timely fulfillment of assigned tasks;
    • Using software with previously provided training;
    • Sensitivity to work with the elderly and people with disabilities
    • Driving license B category

 

  • Job title: Telephone operator – work in 3 shifts – 24/7 (2 positions)
  • Job tasks:
    • Following the directions given by the project coordinator
    • Field activities as needed
    • Ongoing work in software applications intended for this service
    • Providing customer support
    • Taking the emergency call and basic assessment by phone (if possible)
    • Creating a task in the user system and giving remarks and directions to the rescuer in an emergency
    • Alarm for FR, medical professionals and other medical institutions (Ambulance), if necessary
    • Providing additional support to FR in an emergency and is a contact person for all rescuers
    • Keeping and preparing the necessary documentation
    • Other obligations in accordance with the project activities

 

  • Qualifications:
    • Diploma for completed secondary education
    • Ability to work in 3 shifts;
    • Planning and organization skills;
    • Focus on timely fulfillment of assigned tasks;
    • Using software with previously provided training;
    • Sensitivity to work with the elderly and people with disabilities
    • Driving license B category

The engagement envisages signing an employment contract until 09.2023.
