REGIONAL FIRST AID COMPETITIONS IN THE SOUTHEASTERN REGION AND NORTHWESTERN REGION

The Red Cross of RNM makes a special contribution to the promotion of first aid in educational institutions, where we teach and upgrade the competences of young people on how to properly administer first aid.

In the period from May 11 to 12, 2024, the Red Cross of RNM organized two regional first aid competitions for primary and secondary school students from the south-eastern and north-western region of North Macedonia. The theme of the competitions was “Injuries during sports and recreational activities”, where a total of 29 teams had the opportunity to show their knowledge and skills.

On May 11, 2024, a Regional first aid competition for the southeastern region was organized in Radovish, hosted by the Red Cross Branch Radovish. The competition was held at St. Spaso Radovishki Square with participation of 15 teams from 15 Red Cross branches from the southeastern region of the country.

Opening addresses were given by the Secretary General of the Red Cross of RNM, PhD. Sait Saiti, and the Mayor of the Radovish Municipality, Mr. Aco Ristov. The best 5 teams that will participate in the state competition from this region were the teams from the Red Cross branches of Veles, Radovish, Kochani, Strumica and Delchevo.

On May 12, 2024, a Regional first aid competition for the northwestern region was organized in Gazi Baba – Skopje, hosted by the Red Cross Branch Gazi Baba on the plateau at the main entrance of East Gate Mall – Skopje with participation of 14 teams from 14 Red Cross branches from the northwestern region of the country.

Opening addresses were given by the President of the Red Cross of RNM, Prof.Dr. Romel Velev and the Mayor of the Municipality Gazi Baba, Mr. Boban Stefkovski. The best 5 teams that will participate in the state competition from this region were the teams from the Red Cross branches of Ohrid, Gazi Baba, Bitola, Chair and Kumanovo.
