TRAINING FOR PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT IN EMERGENCIES AND CRISIS SITUATIONS

In the period from November 2022 to February 2023, a cycle of trainings for psycho-social support in emergencies and crisis situations was held within the project “COVID-19 response for enhancement of the socio-economic situation of marginalized people in 6 countries in the Western Balkans”. The project was funded by the Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Red Cross.

The training was attended by Red Cross volunteers and staff and a total of 50 participants obtained a certificate. Through exercise activities, role play and interactive lectures, the participants gained knowledge and experience in providing psycho-social support and psychological first aid in crisis and emergency situations. The trained participants are part of the crisis management and response component of the Center for Mental Health and Psycho-social Support.
