APPEAL FOR HELP AND SUPPORT FOR PETRICA AND SISAK
With great sadness we heard the news of the catastrophic earthquake that struck the area of Petrinja and Sisak in the Republic of Croatia on December 29, 2020. We sincerely sympathize with the families of the killed and injured citizens of the Republic of Croatia.
After the earthquake, the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia sent a telegram of condolences and contacted the Croatian Red Cross to assess the situation and provide humanitarian assistance to the population affected by the disaster. The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia offered specialized teams for disaster preparedness and response, material assistance from the organization’s stock reserves as well as financial assistance for the affected population.
In order to provide solidarity support of the citizens and companies in the Republic of North Macedonia for the population affected by the earthquake in the Republic of Croatia, the Red Cross of the RNM launches an Appeal to mobilize financial assistance for the affected population. The humanitarian campaign will last until the end of January 2021.
