Marking the International Volunteering Day – December 5th

Volunteering is an important means of social inclusion and an important way to build social capital in communities. That is why people are constantly inspired by the values ​​of volunteering and engagement in the Red Cross.

The Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia marked the International Volunteering Day on December 5th under the motto # Thanks Volunteers. The event was held in Young Hub, Office of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Each year the Red Cross of RNM awards national recognitions to prominent volunteers of the organization who have made a special contribution with their Red Cross volunteer service in the local communities in 2019. On this occasion, this year the organization awarded 3 recognitions to prominent volunteers. The recipients of the awards are:

  1. Dr. Lulzim Yahoja – Red Cross Branch Kichevo.
  2. Veleva Novka – Red Cross Branch Radovish
  3. Dr.Vlado Hadzi Naumov – Red Cross Branch Veles

The participants on the event were addressed by Violeta Kuzmanoska, Head of the Sector for Policy Making, Human Resources Management, Youth, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia and Mr. Dushan Tomshic, Advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy. Dr. Vlado Hadzi Naumov from the Red Cross Branch of Veles addressed the present on behalf of the recipients of the awards.
