Participation in the General Assembly of the Norwegian Red Cross

In the period from 06 to 07, a two-member Red Cross delegation of the Republic of Macedonia, composed of Sasho Taleski, Head of the Sector for Programs of the Macedonian Red Cross and Suzana Tuneva Paunovska, Secretary of the Red Cross of the City of Skopje, attended the General Assembly of the Norwegian Red Cross, held in Haugesund, Norway. During the stay, the delegation held a working meeting with the President of the Norwegian Red Cross, Sven Molekleev and the head of the international department, Tory Jaeger. The talks focused on the existing cooperation between the two national societies, especially in the area of ​​mobilization of funds and migration. The host of our delegation was the Regional Office of the Red Cross Telemark of the Norwegian Red Cross, which is a sister organization with the City Red Cross of Skopje. In the talks with the representatives from Telemark, the activities of the first year of cooperation and the plan of action for the forthcoming three-year period were discussed. The General Assembly also addressed the Macedonian Red Cross, which highlighted the excellent cooperation and support provided by the Norwegian Red Cross for our national society in recent years, the positive experiences of the established cooperation between the two national societies at the municipal level as well as the issue of migration and experiences of the Macedonian Red Cross in this field during the wars in the former Yugoslavia and the migration wave that has happened to the region in the last three years.
